it says i dont have access to the site, i cant seem to get it to work. heres an idea: ill burn it on a disc and give it to jordan this weekend and she can give it to you. i've been looking at uploader sites and they don't allow files over 100mb, i tryed zipping it and so forth and could only get it to like 175mb. so ill keep looking for another site and if all else fails i can give it to jordan for you. i hope you got my message. thanks dave

Hi dave,
It was wonderful seeing you again too. I was too flustered to tell you on Sunday how much I loved your Forever Young, it was the first Bob Dylan song I latched onto and I've bee memorizing poetic verses ever since. His music is poignant and truthful, much as I knew Phoebe to be. Your flow of posts/blogs has been really soothing and comforting for me to read. I love hearing your insight and dreams. I have had a few Phoebe dreams also--sunday night I dreamt she woke up, and was chattering and laughing at everyone for being so sullen, and I woke with the feeling that she is still alive and with us, in her own way. I am still amazed at how someone I knew for such a seemingly short amount of time has made such a profound impact on me, even over the years I've been away, Phoebe has always been a part of my thoughts, and of course she will continue to be. I found out on my 21st Birthday and because of this she will be a part of my growing older... and younger... as Dylan himself says, ah but I was so much older then I'm younger than that now, I see now how one can get younger as they get older... has to do with loosing inhibitions, I used to not understand that line/song...about love and freedom, I guess, I'm rambling :)
I've been remembering the day that you took Phoebe and me into San Francisco via bus/ferry/foot/car, and we were reveling over how many forms of transportation we used. I don't know if you'd be interested, but I've been working as a raft guide on the American River for three summers now and it would be totally cool if you and your family came up for a ride on the wise River. I invited Phoebe and Lilly up two summers ago in hopes of reconnecting, but it didn't work out, it is a long drive. Let me know, my email is sheath@syr.edu, and no worries if it doesn't work out. glad to be in touch again, dave... :)

Hi Dave, I've been going through all of my old pictures lately and I've come across some amazing ones of Phoebe that I will share with you guys... I also found one of you at our 6th grade promotion dance, being an awesome DJ... I have so many great memories that I'm planning on writing this summer. Did you know the first time I ever had Soy Sauce was at your house? I feel so lucky to have been close to Phoebe growing up, she was always such an inspiration. I look forward to seeing you Sunday.

Hi Dave I have actually been thinking a lot about you guys lately, your house was always my favorite place to sleepover- I will seriously never forget those times as they are some of my most memorable moments. I am flying up on Sunday for the memorial so I really hope that I get to see you and catch up or just say hi at the least! I am so so sorry that this happened I hope you are doing even relatively ok.

NOURISHED BY THE MYSTERY--- part VI

Well today is my birthday and my big gift to myself is to publish another section. One more to go. Today I received a book version of the first 6 chapters, bound on nice quality paper.... looks so nice. How it reads well that's up for debate. It was 145 pages and probably another 20 after this section. Probably will be around $120. I've titled it Legacy. Should be ready by July....
Thank you to everyone... and thank you for all the birthday wishes,

Dave

Nourished by the Mystery-- April 14th, 2009

This is a work in progress (gentle on the typos and there is a lot more to be said on the Mystery subject).... but I wanted to send it out while the paint is still wet. Last weeks delirium is like the Christmas and New Years week... You just hunker down in the middle of it and pop your head out the other side. We are on the other side now. As a family a little tired, but forging ahead into the new cycle. Thank you to everyone.

Rainy Saturday

I'm in heaven, although I just shed a few tears moments ago, this early morning October rain with its slanted light and forgiving water guaze-- such a quiet Saturday to sleep in and drink coffee in your pajamas, putt around-- everything is safe for just this one moment.

I have some important things to write about. Important to me. World is tipped sideways and I'm a little inside out so it's been hard to get to this moment. I'm not here yet, I just want to mark this down. Incremental steps for n… Continue

Signposts through her Titles

Since I last wrote I've been lost and confused. I think it has something to do with my new tattoo. Something powerful that I don't understand. I am missing her a lot right now and can't seem to find her. Something about the season change. A raw sense of loss... I don't know.

I've been working on something special for the web-site and I've been studying her artwork very closely in order to do it. I believe that phoebe was on this earth for very special reasons. Her artwork obviously stands alone… Continue

Season's change

It's been 3 digits hot out there and the sun is shining at its new angle with a glare that casts through the trees making a different shade that although exquisite in dappled reflection still requires sunglasses to stay relaxed. Season in transition like a thousand lamenting sophomoric high school Beachboy ballads-- summer's over. Phoebe's birthday now stands as a new door and then it's back to school, back from vacations, back to shorter days, back to a different season. The sun gets lower and… Continue
